Students of the Faculty of Business and Management attended an intensive course on Business Intelligence

The course on the basics of data analysis from the teachers of Maastricht University,  specifically designed for the masters of the Faculty of Business and Management and postgraduate students of the Graduate School of Management, was held from November 20 to 24 at the Higher School of Economics.

On November 24th-25th, 2017, the School of Logistics held business game "Supply Chain Simulation" for students of School of Logistics and International Logistics Center. The game was conducted by consultant and project manager in the field of logistics and supply chain management Eugene Trushkin and business coach Gerd Rieger (Berlin, Germany).

‘Stolen Wheels’ to Serve the Good Turn for HSE

The results of the 'Steal the Wheel’ Competition have been decided. Entrants suggested implementing some useful practices at HSE that had proved their efficiency at other Russian or international universities, with the winners receiving their prizes at the beginning of December. The winning projects include new approaches to writing theses, organising space in classrooms, and submitting reports on academic trips.

International Accelerator Invests in HSE Student Project

Dolphin Blockchain Intelligence, a Russian startup that graduated from the second intake of the fintech startup accelerator HSE{Pro}Fintech, was evaluated by Startupbootcamp, an international accelerator in Amsterdam at EUR 6 million and was given both investment and consulting assistance.

In 2017, Dilara Khannanova and Sofia Petrichenko, HSE graduates, created a ‘Gogol de Paris’ association in Paris, which popularizes not only Gogol’s writing, but also Russian cuisine with its feast traditions. The project authors spoke to the HSE News Service about ‘Gogol’, Gogol, the uniting power of Russian cuisine, and charity.

According to the decision of Sergey Sobyanin, Mayor of Moscow, four HSE staff members were awarded badges of distinction and titles of honor. 

School of Logistics launches European certification of best graduates

School of Logistics, Faculty of business and management in HSE has received from the European Logistics Association (ELA) official permission to give out international certificates of level "cELog" (European Logistician Candidate - a candidate for the European logistics providers) to the best graduates of a bachelor degree without passing additional exams.

Austrian Ambassador Awards Diplomas to Graduates of Double-Degree Programme in Big Data Systems and Information Systems Management

On June 28, 2017, the second graduation ceremony for the double-degree Master’s programme in Big Data Systems (HSE, Russia) and Information Systems Management (UAS Technikum Wien, Austria) was held at the Austrian Residence. Dr. Emil Brix, Ambassador of Austria in Moscow, gave the opening speech. During the reception, he congratulated graduates on successfully completing the programme and stressed the importance of cooperation between the universities for multicultural and professional communication.

School of Logistics conducted 11th International Student Conference on Contemporary Problems in Logistics and Supply Chain Management Development

11th International Student Conference on Contemporary Problems in Logistics and Supply Chain Management Development was held in School of Logistics on April 19-20th, 2017. The conference was attended by the bachelors, masters, representatives of the School of logistics of HSE and other leading universities of Russia and CIS countries. The total number of participants exceeded 200 people.
