HSE Faculty of Management was established in 1996 in order to train specialists in management of private businesses in the market economy. On April 20th, 2015 the School of Business Administration was created on the basis of HSE’s Faculty of Management. Today it is one of the largest schools of management in Russia. Around 1600 students (including more than 300 master’s students) study at the school.
The main feature of the School of Business Administration is its interdisciplinary approach to teaching. The education process combines fundamental study of economics and finance, law, sociology, and psychology as well as mastering business information technology. School graduates acquire comprehensive knowledge in management and related disciplines and technologies, including general and strategic management, marketing, personnel management, organizational behavio, and organizational conflict, decision management, innovation management, project management, real investment management, and others.
The school programmes pay special attention to foreign languages, as manager’s efficiency depends on his or her ability to conduct business talks with both Russian and international partners. Over 30% of students with best performance get an opportunity to learn the second foreign language for free. For those who plan to continue their education abroad there are advanced language courses of the country they plan to go to.
The faculty of the school include renown experts in Russian business education, who teach at leading business schools. They are also engaged in administrative work, business consulting and research.
